January 26, 2008: Mark Gibbson and Mike Edwards co-hosted the 9th annual Mid-Columbia Gospel Music Top 40, and it was another great success! Check out the full press release here. October 15, 2007: KGSG adds local news to our lineup. A local news update, courtesy of KVEW-TV, is currently airing at the bottom of the hour weekday mornings. We are evaluating our news and information lineup, and will be making adjustments to our on-air schedule early in 2008. In the meantime, you can find out what is happening in the Mid-Columbia without leaving your favorite music weekday mornings on Simply Gospel! April 3, 2007: Simply Gospel became 10 years old on April 1! Mark Gibbson and Shari reminisced about 10 years of Gospel music radio in the Mid-Columbia during a 2-hour long program that aired Monday, April 2 starting at noon. Many songs from our earlier years were featured, along with tidbits on how KGSG started. February16, 2007: Simply Gospel adds Southern Styles with Rob Patz to our award-winning show line-up. This fast moving program airs on Fridays at noon, and plays the best of the new and old in Southern Gospel. Be sure to listen Friday's at noon on 93.7. January 27, 2007: The 8th-annual Mid-Columbia Gospel Music Top 40 program is another great success! Read all about it here. January 8, 2007: Our web site has undergone further improvements. In addition to new graphics on our home page, we've also dressed up all our other pages with a new layout theme. E-mail addresses are now a click away. And, you'll see exactly which of our DJ's is on-duty and easily send them an e-mail from our home page. Our updated DJ Home Page is just the start; we'll be giving you more options to interact with our on-air personalities in the coming months, so be sure and check back! December 26, 2006: The schedule for the 2006 Mid-Columbia Gospel Music Top 40, our annual KGSG countdown program, has been set for Saturday, January 27, 2007, starting at 12:00 Noon. As in prior years, Mark Gibbson and Mike Edwards co-host the program counting down through the songs voted on by our listeners as their favorites for the year 2006. Voting for the songs is open to any listener to KGSG, and can be done through January 17 at our voting page. December 18, 2006: We’ve now added the services of professional weather forecasters to bring you forecasts that are easy to understand and frequently updated. Be sure to listen at the top and bottom of the hour for this latest improvement to Simply Gospel, where we’re not only bringing you the finest in Gospel Music, but also keeping you up-to-date on what’s happening right here in the Mid-Columbia! December 3, 2006: Our web site now boasts a redesigned home page, and lots of searching features for new music. You can also listen to a high-fidelity 1 minute sample of virtually any song we play using our search tool. However, we've only just begun to make those site improvements; remember that lots more is coming. In the meantime, feel free to use these new functions to enhance your experience in Gospel music, and find that special song you've been looking for! November 28, 2006: We have started the process of giving a huge
"face lift" to our web site. Our goal is to make the site
interesting and current, and provide listeners a way of adding to their
listening experience with much more information about songs, artists, events and
news in Gospel music. We've done a "quick change" to the overall look of
the site to call attention to much bigger changes. We expect most of the
major changes to take several months, with the first changes "behind the
scenes". The next set of features will make it easier to find and listen
to a sample of your favorite music! Keep checking back to watch our
progress and try out new features! |
